Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Katelyn’s Philosophy

“Be yourself; everyone is already taken” –Oscar Wilde

I encourage authenticity and genuine connections in the therapy process. I recognize therapy may be a powerful process and I am here to support you on this journey. I hope that the work we do together will empower other aspects in your life. I believe change occurs from experiencing the here-and-now with some incorporation of examining how family patterns may contribute to current experiences. Last, at times I incorporate expressive arts and sand tray therapy into my work with patients.

What Makes Katelyn Different

Katelyn received her Master’s Degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College located in Portland, OR. Katelyn’s coursework placed strong emphasis on integrating social justice into a therapeutic framework. Katelyn also gained additional training and coursework in Problem Gambling and Sex Therapy.

Katelyn’s post-graduate work provided her with knowledge of neurodevelopmental differences ie: Autism Spectrum and working with teens. These experiences combined gave Katelyn insight into the unique challenges and successes families encounter when navigating larger systems of care.

Fun Facts: Katelyn lived in Germany which gave her a different cultural perspective health and wellness.

Katelyn someday hopes to own a community garden where patients can grow their own organic herbs, vegetables, and fruits at no cost.
